The All-New Shadowglass Tarot Deck

I will be using the latest indie tarot for my future readings

If you love tarot, or if you have been getting readings from me, you will love this new deck: the Shadowglass Tarot. It was fun designing these cards so that the answers can come more ‘intuitively’. I did that by imagining a scenario for each card and blending traditional tarot scenes with added personality in the characters’ facial expressions.

I decided to make my own tarot deck because I wanted something I could connect with. Over the years, I’ve used so many decks, and while they’re beautiful, some just don’t relay a message I’m looking for. When I’m doing readings or making videos, I want the imagery to match how I read, how I explain things, and the style people know me for.

The Shadowglass Tarot Was Born

Creating my own deck felt like the natural next step. I wanted cards that speak clearly, without needing decoding, and artwork that feels original and personal. That way, when you see a card in one of my readings or videos, you’re not looking at a generic image; you’re looking at something I designed specifically to express that message.

As I created the artwork, I kept thinking about how people actually use tarot, not in a stiff, textbook way, but in everyday moments when you’re looking for clarity, reassurance, or a nudge in the right direction. I wanted each card to feel like it’s speaking directly to you. So instead of relying just only on the classic symbolism, I added small details that make the meaning easier to grasp at a glance: a tilt of the head, a shift in posture, a look in the eyes that tells you exactly what the card is trying to say.

If you do want a guidebook, I wrote one to go with the deck as a set.

The whole deck has a slightly darker, anime‑goth atmosphere, but it’s still soft enough to feel welcoming. It’s not meant to be dramatic for drama’s sake, but to feel like stepping into a story. When you pull a card, you’re not just seeing an image; you’re meeting a character, noticing their mood, and understanding their situation.

I’ve started using these cards in my own readings, and they are easy to connect with; the messages feel clearer and more personal. That’s exactly what I hoped for when I started this project.

My Kickstarter campaign launches on the 23rd, and I’ll add the link here once it’s live. If you’ve enjoyed my readings or simply love tarot decks that feel intuitive and expressive, you’ll really enjoy this one.

The Suits and the Atmosphere of the Deck

The deck follows the traditional four suits, but I’ve given each one its own personality so the meanings come through more clearly. You’ll see Blades, Staves, Vials, and Gems—familiar enough to recognise instantly, but with a slightly different feel that matches the artwork’s world.

Blades, instead of Swords, carry that sharp, mental energy. They’re honest, direct, and sometimes confronting, but the characters in these cards also show the emotional side of decision-making too- not just the “thinking” part, but the human part.

Staves, instead of Wands, focus on movement, passion, and creative fire. These cards have a warm, glowing look, and the characters often appear mid-action, so you can feel the momentum behind the message.

Vials, instead of Cups, represent emotions, intuition, and relationships. They have a softer, dreamier atmosphere, and the expressions in these cards make the mood easy to sense, whether it’s comfort, longing, healing, or connection.

Gems, in place of Pentacles, are grounded, practical, and steady. These cards have a calm, earthy tone, and the characters often appear in everyday situations that show the real-life side of stability, growth, and responsibility.

Shadowglass Tarot has the Slightly Gothic Anime-Inspired Theme

Overall, the deck’s atmosphere blends dark fantasy with gentle realism. It has a slightly gothic, anime-inspired look, but it’s not heavy or intimidating. I wanted it to feel like stepping into a story, like a world where every card is a moment frozen in time, and every character has something to say. The expressions, the lighting, the small details… they all help you read the card without overthinking it.

This deck is meant to feel intuitive, expressive, and personal — something you can use for quick daily pulls or deep readings, and something that feels alive every time you shuffle it.

This deck has been such a personal project for me, and now that it’s finally coming together, I’m excited to share it with everyone. I’ve put a lot of thought into the artwork, the atmosphere, and how each card communicates its message. It feels good to finally have a deck that matches how I read and teach tarot as something original, intuitive, and true to my style.

My Kickstarter campaign goes live on October 23rd, and you can pre-order the deck then. I’ll add the link here as soon as it’s up.

If you’ve enjoyed my readings, or if you simply want a deck that feels expressive and easy to connect with, I’d love for you to be part of the launch. Your support means a lot, and I can’t wait for you to see these cards in your own hands.
